A Letter from Clete.
Hello Everyone,
Donna and I arrived home this morning after a very fun filled week in Branson
at our ninth 3/71st Reunion. What a week we had. I was hugged a million times,
just about shook my hand off greeting everyone, had a few beers with some great
friends, laughed so much that my belly hurt, ate too much I'm sure and was told
that I am lower than a pig. This all happened in just a few very fast days.
Just think of all that I could have accomplished if I had a few more days.
In all seriousness, we had a great time, but as usual, it went too fast.
The turn out was very good with a seventy in attendance and the weather cooperated
fantastic. For some reason I am never completely satisfied with the attendance.
It does not matter how many we have in attendance because it can always get
better and should be better. There will come a day when this old body of mine
will not let me do the things that I am blessed with right now, but when that
day arrives, I am going to start making withdrawals from my memory bank and
remember all of the fun that I have had with some very super great people.
I would say that we had a pretty successful reunion. We are already speculating
on what we will be able to do at the 2008 reunion that will be held once more
in Pine Mountain, Georgia.
Stay tuned and begin making your plans for Pine Mountain possibly
in August 2008. If you have any questions or suggestions, please send us a message
or give us a call.
Thanks to all of you that attended the reunion.
It was great to see you again. Donna and I had a ball.
